Resumen The Easy Choir series offers choral pieces from all over the world for 2 and 3-part choirs (SA and optional male voice) and piano accompaniment. This series is aimed primarily at young choirs, but can also be used by adult choirs in case there are very few men’s voices or none at all. In the first volume of the series the well-known arranger Markus Detterbeck and the Argentinean choral director Virginia Bono present a multifaceted selection of popular Latin American melodies. Besides the Mexican folk songs Cielito lindo and the ever-popular La Bamba, well-known from numerous cover versions, snappy choral pieces such as La Cafetera / Ice Cream We Like a Lot and Un poquito cantas can be found. The Brazilian strophic song Nesta rua / The Lonely Road rounds out the collection with somewhat more melancholic sounds. Alongside the original lyrics in Spanish and Portuguese, some titles also include English and German lyrics.
